Obama briefed on Pak-Afghan situation

President Barack Obama has been briefed on post-Osama US strategy in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

At the monthly meeting of the national security team at Washington, Obama was informed about Pak-US collaboration and Pakistan’s efforts against Al Qaeda and other terrorist organistions.Defence Secretary Robert Gates briefed President Obama on his recent tour of Afghanistan. United States relations with Afghanistan and training of Afghan forces also came under discussion during the meeting. The upcoming video conference between President Obama and Afghan President Hamid Karzai was also discussed.US Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and CIA Director Leon Panetta were also present during the meeting.
