Officer found something not consistent with an amputated leg after pulling over a car.
A S Carolina police says he found cocaine in an amputees prosthetic leg after pulling over a car for going too slow on an interstate highway. When highway patrol Trooper Brad Dowis patted down Glodualdo Moreno Lojan, he noticed an odd bulge between the mans leg and his prosthesis, the Independent Mail in Anderson, S.C., reported.I observed something, felt something not consistent with an amputated leg, Dowis said. I thought it could be a kilo of cocaine or some other substance.Dowis said he confirmed his suspicion and found a square plastic bag holding a kilogram of the illegal drug.A judged ruled at a preliminary trial Friday there was enough evidence that Lojan, and Traci Helms, another passenger in the back seat of the car pulled over last month, could head to trial on drug trafficking charges.Mario Sanchez, the driver of the car who has yet to appear in court, is also charged with drug trafficking and can have preliminary hearing in the future.
