Never use a hotel teakettle while traveling, here's why
Some experts suggest that tourists use hotel kettles to clean their underwear
(Web Desk) – A lot of love to have tea or coffee when we are traveling around the cold places. In order to provide this facility, hotels and resorts give kettles to those staying as guests. But beware! These kettles are not as clean as they appear.
Some travel bloggers and experts believe that a high number of tourists use teakettles to clean their underwear. They boil these undergarments in the hot water of kettles in order to kill the smell or dirt.
However, such a practice not only spreads filth in the hotel rooms but also makes the kettle prone to have deadly toxins in it because of the unclean environment. People who have had tea or coffee from the hot water of these kettles should start regretting immediately.
A writer once took to Twitter and asked whether anyone clean their underwear in a kettle when traveling. The response was shockingly as a number of people admitted that they carry out such practices during getaways. Health experts advise that people should use their personal appliances while traveling and stay away from kettles as certain bacteria are resistant to high temperatures. They can affect the health of people after consumption.
The practice is inefficient itself. Cleaning undergarments in such fashion can in no way match common cleaning methods. It can cause blanching.
