Friendship with Pakistan will continue to strengthen: Erdogan

The Turkish President said that his country is providing PNS Khyber to the Pakistan Navy, and that PNS Khyber has successfully completed all the testing stages.
ISTANBUL (Dunya News) - Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the friendship between Turkiye and Pakistan will continue to develop.
In a statement, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, “Our shared history has stood the test of centuries, and Pak-Turkish friendship will further develop and strengthen in the coming years.”
The Turkish President said that his country is providing PNS Khyber to the Pakistan Navy, and that PNS Khyber has successfully completed all the testing stages.
He said that PNS Badr will be provided to Pakistan by the end of 2026, while PNS Tariq will be provided to Pakistan in the first quarter of 2027.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, “Turkiye is among the 10 countries that produce fighter jets, and we respect the sovereignty and integrity of every country.”
The Turkish President said that he does not want tension, war or conflict with any country, and wants peace and stability with neighboring countries.
During his visit to Turkiye in May, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdoğan discussed bilateral issues, and pressing regional and international developments. Both leaders reaffirmed their principled support for each other’s core concerns, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
They also expressed deep concern over the grave humanitarian situation in Gaza, urgently calling for an immediate ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian access to the affected Palestinian population.
Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Information & Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, SAPM Syed Tariq Fatemi and Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkiye Dr. Yusuf Junaid were also part of Pakistan delegation.
