The instant messaging has doubled the group size

WhatsApp, a widely popular Meta-owned messaging app, has rolled out three new features for group conversation, expanding the group size and giving more powers to the admins.

The instant messaging app announced the development on Twitter, stating: "More is more. Knowing what makes groups thrive, we’ve added new features to your group chats."

"With more people and more control, your group connections can continue to grow," it said.

The new features are related to group size, admins control and search and see shared groups. The instant messaging has doubled the group size as admin can now add 1,024 instead of previous 512.

The new feature has given more control to the group admins as they allowed them to accept new member requests.

"When new members want to join the group and this option is enabled, group admins can review them by opening 'Pending participants' within the group info screen or tapping the in-chat banner," said WaBetaInfo.

The Meta-owned app has rolled out a new update for users that enable them to search and see groups they have in common.
