Champions League: Real Madrid and Schalke wins first leg quarterfinals

Real Madrid and Schalke won the first leg of the quarterfinals matches in the UEFA Champions league.

Defending champions, Inter Milan were humiliated at their home ground in Milan as Schalke recorded a 2 -5 victory in the first leg of the match.The two teams were level in the first half at 2-2 but in the second half, Schalke playing an away match scored three goals, crashing Inter Milan’s hope of defending their title. In the second quarterfinal, Real Mardid recoded an easy win over Tottenham. Madrid won 4-0 as Emmanuel Adebayor scored two goals with one goal each from star striker Cristiano Ronaldo and Ángel di María.Two more quarter finals are scheduled for Wednesday, in which Manchester United will take on Chelsea while Shakhtar will take on Barcelona, in the first leg of the quarter finals.
