Saudi women watch football game at stadium for first time
The first stadium to allow women to witness the game was in Jeddah, the city of the Red Sea.
JEDDAH (Dunya News) – Saudi women watched a football game at stadium for the first time after the authorities allowed families to visit stadiums in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
The match was played between the football teams of Al-Ahli and Al-Batin on Friday. The first stadium to allow women to witness the game was in Jeddah, the city of the Red Sea.
Jeddah was followed by capital Riyadh which opened stadium to women on Saturday, followed by the western city of Dammam on Thursday.
The women seemed very happy over the permission and welcomed the decision by the management.
