This is Wang Yi's second trip to the country in three years
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday for three-day official visit aimed at strengthening strategic and diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan.
Wang, a member of the Communist Party of China, was welcomed at Nur Khan Airbase by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar.
Senior officials from Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry and the Chinese Embassy were also present at the reception. A group of children dressed in traditional Pakistani attire greeted the visiting dignitary with flowers.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang Yi's visit marks his second trip to Pakistan in three years. The visit is expected to enhance strategic coordination, deepen regional and international cooperation, and expand practical partnerships between the two nations.

A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry described China-Pakistan relations as long-standing, historic, and growing stronger with time. The two countries are not only “iron brothers” but also close partners on critical regional and global matters, the spokesperson added.
Beijing views this visit as a reaffirmation of its commitment to work closely with Pakistan on all fronts. Officials also noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited China last June, followed by President Asif Zardari’s visit to Beijing in February this year — signaling high-level engagement between the two nations.
Chinese and Pakistani leaders remain committed to further reinforcing bilateral ties in the years ahead.
