Lahore event opened with a moving orchestral performance of melodies by veteran musicians
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced the province’s first “Marka-e-Haq” memorial, museum, and park.
The project was formally unveiled during a special ceremony at the Expo Centre Lahore on Thursday.
The event opened with a moving orchestral performance of melodies by veteran musicians. CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif sat among the performers, enjoying the national songs and applauding in appreciation.
The audience was treated to a series of stirring Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq themed songs, including Shaala Wasda Reh Ve Punjab, and a soul-stirring performance by Sahir Ali Bagga.
A special musical short film on the Marka-e-Haq was screened, followed by a detailed presentation on the memorial, museum, and park project. CM Maryam Nawaz moved through the audience, meeting ministers and guests in their seats.
The ceremony drew diplomats from friendly nations, provincial ministers, and senior civil and military officials, all of whom praised the initiative as a fitting tribute to Pakistan’s history and heritage.
