BEIJING (Dunya News) – The Pakistani Embassy in China's capital city marked the country’s 78th Independence Day with a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony, celebrating not only the birth of Pakistan but also the nation’s historic triumph in Marka-e-Haq and the successful execution of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsous.

The event began with Deputy Head of Mission Bilal Mahmood Chaudhry hoisting the national flag.

This was followed by the reading of congratulatory messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

The messages paid glowing tribute to the sacrifices made under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah during the independence struggle, recalling the historic moment of 14 August 1947.

The messages also extended congratulations to the nation on the great victory in Marka-e-Haq, fought from May 6 to 10, 2025, in response to India’s imposed war. They stressed the importance of national unity, steadfastness, and ideological commitment, reaffirming the resolve to build a prosperous and developed Pakistan.

In his speech, Bilal Mahmood Chaudhry congratulated the Pakistani community in China on Independence Day, calling the decisive victory in Marka-e-Haq a shining example of the courage, resilience, and capability of the Pakistani nation and armed forces.

He hailed Pakistan-China relations as a model of deep friendship and appreciated the contributions of the Pakistani community in strengthening bilateral ties through national development and people-to-people contact.
