LAHORE (Web Desk) - The TECH Club organised an enlightening awareness session on the topic “Awareness on Mental Health and Drug Addiction” in Lahore on Sunday.

The event aimed to highlight the importance of mental health, early identification of psychiatric disorders, and the devastating impacts of drug addiction on individuals and society.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof Dr Aftab Asif, former chairman, Department of Psychiatry, King Edward Medical University.

In his comprehensive and thought-provoking lecture, Dr Aftab discussed common mental health challenges, their social stigma, and practical strategies for prevention and treatment.

He also shed light on the rising trend of drug addiction in the community and emphasised the urgent need for collective action, public awareness, and policy-level interventions.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Safdar Ali Malik, Convener of TECH Club, reiterated the club’s commitment to promoting public awareness on critical health and social issues.

Dr Sana Jahangir also addressed the session.
