18th amendment: Removal of Intra-party election clause challenged

Supreme Court Lahore registry moved against removal of intra political parties election clause.

Applicant’s counsel Barrister Zafarullah, through the petition filed in Supreme Court Lahore Registry, argued that the deletion of condition of election in political parties through 18th amendment was unconstitutional and illegal.Through this, only specific families can come into power which will support discrimination, he said.The applicant requested the court to declare the said amendment null and void as it was unconstitutional and unlawful.
