Former Lt-Col Akbar Hussain court martialled for incitement to revolt

According to the ISPR, Akbar was sentenced under the Field General Court Martial
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Lt-Col (retd) Akbar Hussain was court martialled on Tuesday for inciting military personnel to revolt and handed down 14 years in prison.
According to the ISPR, the public relations department of Pakistan Army, Lt-Col Akbar was sentenced under the Field General Court Martial.
The Inter-Services Public Relations statement added that the former lieutenant colonel was tried by a court of competent jurisdiction. His rank has also been confiscated.
It may be recalled that former lieutenant colonel Akbar is the third officer sentenced in the last one year. Major (retd) Adil Farooq Raja and Captain (retd) Haider Raza Mehdi had been court martialled on Oct 7 and 9, 2023.
