Punjab jail reforms are being implemented swiftly
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) - Punjab Home Secretary Noorul Amin Mengal visited central jail Faisalabad and met prisoners and their visiting families. He reviewed all the jail affairs.
He highlighted facilities were being provided to prisoners’ families visiting on Eid.
He disclosed all the arrangements and progress made under Punjab government’s jail reforms to facilitate prisoners.
Latest equipment and tools are being installed for security in jails. Air conditions have been installed in visiting areas across jails.
Paid internship programs have been designed for psychology and law students in jails. Prisoners will be trained in various sessions to play their positive role in the society.
Jail libraries and training institutes are also been developing. Food quality and menu served in jails is being upgraded.
He stressed that Punjab government’s jail reforms were being implemented swiftly.
