LAHORE (Dunya News) - Three persons were burnt and a number of rickshaws damaged when a fire erupted after a cylinder blast in a shop on Multan Road, Dunya News reported here on Monday.

The fire incident took place in a cylinder shop. After the explosion of a cylinder, a fire erupted, which turned into a huge blaze in no time.

The sound of cylinder explosion was heard in remote areas too, which spread panic in the vicinity.

According to Lahore Deputy Commissioner Raffia Hider, firefighters scrambled to the fire sight in six minutes and controlled the blaze after hectic efforts.

On information, police, firefighters and the deputy commissioner reached the spot and took part in rescue efforts.

The deputy commissioner said an investigation will be launched into the incident to figure out if the cylinders were kept in the shop illegally.
