ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Supreme Court dismissed the application seeking bail cancellation of Fawad Hasan Fawad, principal secretary to the former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif.
A three-member bench, headed by Justice Ijazul Ahsan, heard the case.
The apex court dismissed the plea against Fawad on the grounds of being ineffective.
During the hearing, special prosecutor National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Rizwan Sati, said Fawad had been acquitted by the trial court in the reference and the request for cancellation of bail had become ineffective due to his acquittal.
Later, the Supreme Court dismissed the plea declaring it ineffective.
