Judge Asim Hafeez made OSD in Rizwana torture case

Chief Justice Lahore High Court made him OSD
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Civil Judge Asim Hafeez, husband of a maid torture case has been made OSD on Thursday.
Chief Justice Lahore High Court has appointed Hafeez as OSD in Rawalpindi with a direction to take charge before Aug 19.
The investigation of the torture case is underway as Asim and his wife, accused Somia Asim, have been summoned by the joint investigation team.
The accused lady is in Adiala jail on judicial remand.

The case of Rizwana, 14, who is under treatment at the Lahore General Hospital, turned up on July 24 last and her mother claimed that Somia tortured Rizwana.
When the girl was brought to the hospital, her head wound was infected with worms, her body had torture signs, both arms were broken and she was in trauma.

Professor Jodat Saleem, head of the medical board formed for Rizwana's treatment, says her condition is improving, although she is not in a position to walk and her infection has reduced significantly.
