Retired Justice Baqar takes oath as caretaker Sindh CM
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar took oath as interim Sindh Chief Minister on Thursday.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori administered oath to Maqbool Baqar during a ceremony held at the Governor House. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by key political figures of the province.
The swearing-in ceremony was originally scheduled for August 16 (Wednesday) was delayed by one day due to busy schedule of Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori.
Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar on Tuesday expressed his willingness to address public concerns.
Maqbool Baqar shared that he had been briefed on his responsibilities, and his immediate priority is to assemble the provincial cabinet. He emphasised that the role of the interim government is to support the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in conducting elections.
