ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolted various parts of the country, including Islamabad, on Monday.
According to details, tremors were felt in various parts of the country, including the federal capital, Swat, Lower Dir, Chitral and Malakand districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The earthquake spread a wave of panic among people and they came out of their houses reciting verses of the Holy Quran.
According to seismological centre, the magnitude of the earthquake on the Richter scale was recorded as 5.2 while the underground depth was 91 kilometres. It says the epicentre of the earthquake was the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region. No loss of life or property has been reported due to the earthquake.
