Abusive language against CJP earned global embarrassment: Sheikh Rashid
Pakistan
Says PML-N is not capable of contesting elections
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Awami Muslim League chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed says foul language has been used against the chief justice of Pakistan, which earned embarrassment for the country in the whole world.
In his message on the micro-blogging website Twitter, former interior minister Mr Rashid said that yesterday (Monday) the government, through a planned move, assembled a few hundred people in front of the Supreme Court. Section 144 and Article 144 of the Constitution were torn into pieces in front of the Supreme Court, and there was no police or military organisation (to prevent them from doing so).

He said offensive, profane and indecent language was used against the chief justice. Foul language undermined the dignity of the apex court. But the chief justice was still urging patience.
Mr Ahmed said these people were devoid of intellect. They raided Lal Haveli three times on Monday. "They want to get statements as per their own wishes under duress from the people they arrested yesterday (Monday)." He maintained the PML-N was not capable of contesting elections.
The AML chief said the sword of contempt of court was still hanging on their heads. Elections would be held, he said. He said no one in the country could support attacks on institutions' buildings.

“These are our institutions. We are proud of our institutions. Yesterday's declaration announced by the institutions is a welcome step. I look forward to the National Security Council meeting today (Tuesday)," he said.
Mr Ahmed said the country was in dire straits. “We are getting isolated in the world. The poor are being ruined. It's time we get over it. The games they are going to play will return to haunt them one day,” he added.
The senior politician said the NAB laws would be revived. They (rulers) would be arrested for laundering money and overseas Pakistanis would get the right to vote. He said in elections, the people would exercise their right to vote freely.
