The production of the automobile industry slumped by 42.48%
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) report the production of heavy industries observed a significant decrease in production.
On year-to-year basis, there has been a notable decrease of 24.99% in the production of heavy industries, the decrease was also recorded on month-to-month basis and there was 9.09% production decrease in March. The production decreased by 8.11% in heavy industries from July to March.
According to PBS, from July to March, the food industry faced 8.71% decrease in the production whereas 3.39% decrease was observed in the production of the beverage industry. The production of tobacco industry eroded by 23.78% and the textile industry’s productivity fell by 16.03%.
There has been a 66.22% decrease in the production of wooden made goods, 5.42% decrease in the production of paper and board industries, chemicals industry’s production diminished by 6.29% and 9.54% production shrink was faced by fertilizers industry.
Pharmaceutical industry’s production plummeted by 23.20%, and a 4.02% production decline was observed in iron and steel products.
The production of the automobile industry slumped by 42.48%, and there has been an increase of 48.26% in the production of the furniture industry from July to March.
