IHC extends Imran Khan's interim bail till June 8

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday extended till June 8 interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan in two cases.
The court conducted hearing of the petition filed by the PTI chief seeking extension in interim bail in two cases. Imran Khan's lawyer Barrister Gohar appeared in court.
Barrister Gohar, on behalf of Imran Khan, requested exemption for the PTI chairman from attendance on Tuesday, which was accepted by the court. The chief justice of Islamabad High Court said that on which day Imran Khan could appear in court in more cases so that court could fix that date for his cases.
Later, the court extended Imran Khan's interim bail till June 8 in a case relating to his statement against army officers and the murder case registered on complaint of Muslim League-N leader Mohsin Ranjha.
Toshakhana case adjourned
Additional District and Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar adjourned on Tuesday till June 8 the hearing of the Toshakhana case against Imran after the PTI chief’s lawyer submitted a copy of the stay order issued by the Islamabad High Court in the case.
The PTI chairman was granted a blanket relief from different benches of the IHC that not only barred the authorities from arresting him but also stayed his trial in the Toshakhana case until the second week of June.
Gohar Ali Khan appeared on behalf of Imran Khan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday asked former prime minister Imran Khan to cooperate for investigation into his corruption instead of levelling baseless allegations.
Responding to a tweet of Imran Khan, the prime minister wrote on his Twitter handle, “Leave the baseless allegations, join the investigation and be held accountable for your corruption. And that’s all.”
