PBC urged the holding of a full court meeting to resolve all internal matters

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) voiced their grave concerns over the current situation in the country. The PBC said that the ongoing dissent between judges of the apex court was not a good sign for the institution and the country as a whole.

In a statement released on Friday, the PBC urged the holding of a full court meeting to resolve all internal matters.

The council believed that a full court meeting was necessary to avoid criticism in political cases and to ensure that justice was served without any biases.

The PBC emphasized that the situation in the country was worrying and demanded that all internal issues should be resolved without any delay.

They also expressed their readiness to conduct an all parties conference to bring all stakeholders to the table to find a way forward.

The Pakistan Bar Council is the highest regulatory body of lawyers in the country and is responsible for safeguarding the rights, interests, and privileges of advocates. It plays a vital role in ensuring the independence of the judiciary and the rule of law in the country.

The call for a full court meeting by the PBC comes at a time when the judiciary is facing criticism over its handling of high-profile cases.

The bar council's statement highlights the need for transparency and impartiality in the judiciary and the importance of resolving internal conflicts to maintain the institution's integrity.
