ATC grants bail to 25 detained lawyers in PIC clash case

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday granted bail to 25 lawyers arrested in Pakistan Institute of Cardiology (PIC) riot case.

Government lawyers told the court that 25 lawyers were identified while eight lawyers were not identified during Identity Parade. They requested the court to reject the bail application.
Lawyers of suspects including Maqsood Buttar, Rana Manzoor, Farhad Ali Shah and Malik Adeel Ehsan gave arguments in favor of bail plea and said that suspects are in police custody for 12 days and they have not been even medically examined yet.
Judge Arshad Hussain heard the arguments of both sides and granted bail to arrested 25 lawyers against surety bonds of Rs0.1 million each.
