Govt will not back assemblies' dissolution, says Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday said that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) led government will not back Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s plan to dissolve provincial assemblies.

In an interview with a private channel, Rana while terming PTI’s decision to launch a campaign for snap elections as an undemocratic step said that the incumbent government will never back plan to dissolve provincial assemblies.

He added that the PTI’s chief had to change his attitude if he wanted to hold talks with the centre. "There will be no backdoor talks," he added.

In response to the Supreme Court of Pakistan s order to file an FIR in the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif, Rana said that the JIT would be formed following the apex court s order and the fact-finding committee s report would also be presented to the SC.
