Police arrests contractor due to Khan's objection over poor lighting at Kohat rally
KOHAT (Dunya News) – The police on Wednesday arrested the contractor after Imran Khan objected to poor lighting at a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Kohat.
According to the details, the local police kept the contractor in police station all day on the directions of Shehryar Afridi due to Imran Khan’s objection for not having proper lighting arrangements in the public rally.
The contractor Sheikh Anwar Idrees said that the lighting tower collapsed because of the wind. He further added that the police called him to the police station on Shehryar Afridi’s directions, he said.
He explained that all the arrangements were made for the rally, but the lightning tower collapsed due to the storm.
As per Kohat police, the contractor was only summoned, he was neither arrested nor charged and was even later released.
