Research must be done on services of Qazi Hussain Ahmad: Asad Qaiser
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser, on Thursday said that research must be done on the services of Qazi Hussain Ahmad.
Addressing the seminar, Asad Qaiser said that the former Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Qazi Hussain was a spiritual father to me. He had a pertinent perspective over the prospect of Afghanistan and Kashmir. Both the countries were dearer to him than his children.
Continuing his speech, Asad Qaiser said that the role of former Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) for Kashmir and Afghanistan cannot be forgotten. Jamaat-e-Islami is truly a democratic party. The manifesto of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and JI is the establishment of a modern Islamic welfare state.
On the occasion, PML-N Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said that Qazi Hussain Ahmed brought all sects of Muslim Ummah closer together. He had relations with all Muslim world leaders including Shah Abdullah, Najmuddin Arabkan and many other leaders from Iran. He activated and introduced modernism into JI. He further added that when I visited the United States, high officials praised him.
He said that the Americans said that Qazi Hussain Ahmed was a very friendly fundamentalist. Russia could not win in Afghanistan even after spending 50 billion dollars and killing 15 thousand soldiers. After 911, America sent a delegation into Russia. The generals of Russia told America not to repeat the similar mistake which we had committed. America too, wasted a huge sum of money and lost the war in the end with Afghanistan.
Former Ambassador Ayaz Wazir also said that he was grateful to the Prime Minister (PM) and the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) for declaring the war started after 9/11 as a third party war. He also admitted the mistake of sending troops to FATA. He mentioned that Pakistan should not delay any longer and recognize the Taliban government. The Taliban have proved in 4 months that every inch of Afghanistan is under their control.
