Dr Yasmin Rashid tests positive for COVID-19
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Tuesday tested positive for novel COVID-19.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Dr Yasmin Rashid has quarantined herself at home after testing positive for coronavirus.
On the other hand, 36 more people have tested positive for the Omicron variant of the coronavirus Punjab as the cases of virus continues to rise.
The number of confirmed cases of Omicron in Punjab has reached 153 with Lahore reporting most of the cases.
Meanwhile, 14 more people tested positive for the variant in the federal capital.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had extended the health emergency in the province for a period of three months.
The decision was taken after clear evidence of fifth wave of coronavirus and situation arising due to new Covid-19 variant in the country.
