No disagreement with PML-Q on budget: Sarwar

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that there is no disagreement with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and other political allies on the passage of budget in Centre and Punjab.

Talking to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Parliamentary leader in the Senate Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhry during a meeting at the Governor’s House here on Thursday, he said all allies were on the same page, adding that the budget bills would be passed smoothly and without any hurdles.

The governor said the upcoming budget for fiscal year 2021-22 would be a public welfare budget with relief in all sectors, adding that all promises made with masses would be fulfilled.

“Differences among political allies on certain issues is beauty of democracy and all matters can be reconciled through consultations,” he said, adding that the opposition was involved in negative propaganda against the government. However, the public supports Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of progress and prosperity, he added.

He said that all challenges being faced by Pakistan today were due to faulty policies of the previous governments, adding that the government was strong and stable and had no threat from the opposition since they lacked unity and a common narrative.

Ch Sarwar said the PTI government and its allies were on the same page for the country’s progress and development.

PTI Senator Ejaz Chaudhry said the party was united under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, adding that the PTI was ready to face every negative propaganda with the popular support of masses.

He said the PTI government would lead the country to the path of progress and prosperity in the years to come.
