Government is involved in a vicious game: Sherry Rehman
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Sherry Rehman on Thursday said that ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is making another mistake just to hide a crime.
Talking to media persons along with Farooq Naek, she said that incumbent government is involved in vicious practice and made elections controversial and pinned institutions against each other just to keep its lawmakers under control.
On the other hand, Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla has said that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has not raised any objection over the participation of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Pakistan Democratic Movement‘s (PDM) joint candidate Yousaf Raza Gillani in Senate elections.
While talking to media, the deputy chairman Senate said that anything can happen during the polls in the upper house of the Parliament. There is a minor difference in the numbers of government and opposition, he told.
Saleem Mandviwalla predicted that Yousaf Raza Gillani may win in the Senate polls.
