KP govt warns opposition of lodging case if PDM holds rally

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided not to allow Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) to hold a rally due to the coronavirus and clarified that if this happens despite the instructions, cases will be registered against the leadership.

Provincial Minister Shaukat Yousafzai told the media that if there is an increase in Coronavirus cases, the opposition would be held responsible. Action will be taken against the opposition under the Epidemic Act. He said that the opposition was not serious and all these people were trying to save corruption.

On the other hand, the Punjab government has also recommended stopping the PDM from holding the meeting.

Provincial Law Minister Basharat Raja has sent preliminary recommendations to the Punjab Chief Minister in this regard.
