FIA obtains record of issuing visas to foreigners on fake documents
Around 600 foreigners were issued visas on fake documents.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has obtained record of issuing visas to foreigners on fake documents.
The FIA had launched an investigation into the issuance of fake visas to foreigners on the orders of Interior Minister Brigadier (r) Ijaz Shah.
According to sources, an investigation report against several officials of the passport office has also been obtained, while investigations were also carried out against the staff of passport office.
In the light of these investigations, it has been revealed that about 600 foreigners were issued visas on fake documents. The Lahore Passport Office said that the visas were issued on the instructions of the interior ministry officials.
Earlier, Interior Minister Brigadier (r) Ijaz Shah had rejected the first fact-finding report.
