Sheikh Rasheed must resign if his decision backfires: Awais Qadir
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh’s Transport Minister Awais Qadir Shah, while reacting to decision to resume transport by train said that the provincial government was not taken into confidence on this important issue.
Awais Qadir in his statement said that we will see if the Railway Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed keeps his word. He said that if the SOPs are not complied with, Sheikh Rasheed will have to resign from office.
Awais Qadir raised the question whether the losses of the institution are worth more than the lives of the public. The minister also said that discussions with intercity transporters are underway, however, reduction in transport fares has not been decided upon.
