Five more polio cases surface in KP, toll reaches 31

The virus has been detected in two children belonging to Torghar and three kids from Bannu.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Five more cases of polio have been surfaced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) today (Wednesday) after which, the toll has been escalated to 31 in the province.

According to details, the virus has been detected in two children belonging to Torghar and three kids from Bannu.

On the other hand, a four-day anti-polio campaign will be launched in eleven districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 15th of this month.

The anti-polio drive will be conducted in Swabi, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Tor Ghar, Lower and Upper Kohistan, Kolai-Palas, Battagram, Mansehra and Haripur districts.

The campaign is being launched in those districts where fresh cases of polio have been recently reported.
