Uplift of the trains system of Pakistan Railways will be taken with the cooperation of China.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said that all facilities in the country are for elite class and the aim of Naya Pakistan is to take the general public out of poverty.

Addressing a ceremony after inaugurating the Railway Live Tracking System and Thal Express in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said that travelling by train will be further improved, adding that China has the world’s best railway system.

The prime minister said that distance from ML-I to Karachi will be completed in 8 hours.

Imran Khan went on to say that uplift of the trains system of Pakistan Railways will be taken with the cooperation of China.

“China is far ahead of other countries in development of train systems and like other areas,” he said and added we will also seek their cooperation in railways sector to make Pakistan Railways modern and customer friendly passenger service.

Directing Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, the premier asked that the federal minister for railways to send corruption cases to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Imran Khan said: “Our loans jumped to 30,000 billion rupees from 6,000 billion due to corruption and impunity from accountability.”

“Loot and plundering of wealth in past harmed the national economy and due to NROs, the fear of accountability had vanished,” he added.
