1,100 mw power to be saved from new strategy, NA told

The government presented energy conservation measures for the summer season in National Assembly. Under the energy conservation measures, all the shopping malls will be closed at 8pm and use of all lights in government offices, including the offices of president, PM, provincial chief ministers, federal cabinet, and other public offices would be reduced by 50 percent. The government officials would be advised to use air-conditions after 11am. Power supply to billboards and neon signs will also be suspended.
