Every provincial lawmaker will be able to secure development funds of upto 10 billion rupees.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government Monday sought development schemes from its MPAs after it decided to continue with development funds.

The ruling Pakistan Tehkreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party prior to the July 25 general election had criticised the issuance of development funds by the former PML-N government.

However, defeat on key seats in the recently-held by-elections has forced the ruling party to stick with the tradition of releasing development funds for development schemes.

Every provincial lawmaker will be able to secure development funds of upto 10 billion rupees. MPAs belonging to PML-Q and other coalition parties will also be able to seek funds.
