LAHORE (Dunya News) - An unidentified man climbed a crane at the under-construction MPA Hostels building of the Punjab Assembly in Lahore, demanding a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Upon receiving information about the incident, assembly staff, security officials and rescue teams reached the site. The man had reportedly displayed banners bearing the chief minister’s name on the building and was seen waving one from atop the crane.
A rescue vehicle arrived outside the MPA Hostel, and as officials approached the crane, the man moved further back, prompting negotiations between rescue authorities and the individual.
The man said he would not come down until he was allowed to meet Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Rescue officials responded that he must come down first, after which arrangements for a meeting would be made.
