PPP submits resolution seeking resignation of CM Buzdar
DPO's transfer had come in the backdrop of Khawar Fareed Manika's altercation with Gondal.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan People s Party (PPP) on Thursday has submitted a resolution in Punjab Assembly demanding resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar over his involvement in Pakpattan DPO’s transfer case.
The transfer had come in the backdrop of Khawar Fareed Manika s altercation with Gondal over alleged mistreatment of police men with his son and daughter while they were heading to Pakpattan in a car and Manika s demand of DPO to tender an apology to him by visiting his outhouse.
Taking the suo moto notice of the issue Supreme Court of Pakistan had appointed National Counterterrorism Authority (NACTA) Chairman Khalik Dad Lak to probe the matter and submit a report.
The resolution has come after the inquiry report submitted to SC found Punjab CM Buzdar guilty of misusing his office for transfer of Pakpattan DPO Rizwan Gondal. As per the report orders for transfer of DPO flowed from CM office.
