Uniform education system in Pakistan, a key to academic success

Education system of Pakistan is divided into factors like language, course content, training etc.

(Web Desk) – One of the major issues that Pakistan’s education system has fallen victim to is various forms of education systems. Multiple systems are causing severe academic blow. Some children are part of private school system where English is used a medium of studies. Other are part of Urdu or public school system where education is imparted in Urdu language. There is another education system parallel to them and that is madrassa system where religious education is imparted in Arabic and Urdu.

Prime Minister Imran Khan himself has spoken about divisions and variations in education system of Pakistan. He had vowed to change the status quo in education sector. Again here too high hopes are attached with him, and it is firmly believed that uniform education system will be implemented in the coming days.


Indeed various forms of education systems are operating in Pakistan. And this is the cause of stress among the students especially those who go for jobs after completing their education. Keeping these differences in view, Dunya Media Group organized an event in Muhammad Ali Jinnah University highlighting the division in the education system of Pakistan.

A number points were highlighted in the event which include imparting education in maternal language that is Urdu, provinces than the federal government to consider the educational matters, formation of uniform education system, and setting up a think tank that regularly give its suggestions to the government.

President of the university was of the view, students should be provided with the religious education along with the worldly one. Another scholar said this is quite a productive effort by Dunya News as this helped the scholars and students to gather and think of future strategies. Professor Doctor Sajjad Mubarak stated around 90 per cent students do not know what they are to do. They just dream of money.

Strategy of PTI government

Interestingly, Minister for education Shafqat Mehmood has hinted at this system, the only thing remains is implementation of the plan.
