Imran Khan refuses to recognize Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as PM
He reiterated his demand of early elections and urged the government to conduct the polls soon.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief arrived in Karachi on Wednesday on a three-day visit to Sindh province.
Talking to media, Khan refused to recognize Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as the premier. PTI chief said that neither anyone accepts Abbasi as PM nor he has his own opinion.
He reiterated his demand of early elections and urged the government to conduct the polls soon.
Khan asserted that terrorism will re-emerge in FATA if the issue is not resolved before elections and old system continued to exist in the area.
Khan questioned that the amendment in Khatam-e-Nabuwwat (PBUH) bill was brought on whose directions.
Before departing for Karachi, Imran Khan met Jamaat-i-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq at Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA). Both the leaders discussed the current political situation of the country and merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
