Turbat killings: Five dead bodies dispatched to Gujrat

The bodies were recovered from Turbat's Tajban area on Saturday night.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Five bullet-riddled bodies, which were recovered from Turbat’s Tajban area on Saturday night, have been dispatched to Gujrat from Lahore today (Sunday).

The dead bodies were first shifted to Karachi from Turbat via C-130, and then to Lahore. The bodies were received by Provincial Minister for School Education Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan at Lahore airport in the presence of the deceased’s families.

According to levies officers, the five killed persons have been recognized as Usman Qadir, Qasim, Saqib, Danish Ali and Badar Munir and all of them belonged to Gujrat.

The bereaved families broke into tears and wailed as they heard the catastrophic news. Relatives of the dead told that the five men had went to Quetta five days ago after paying Rs1,60,000 to agent Sajjad.

One of the men, Danish, was due to tie nuptial knot next month. All five persons were going in pursuit of a better future for themselves as well as for their families. The officers launched a search operation in the area afterwards.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has taken suo motu notice of the incident and summoned Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General (DG) along with Balochistan Inspector General of Police (IGP).

It is worth mentioning here that 15 dead bodies were found on a mountain in Balochistan’s Turbat district on Wednesday as well. The victims were trying to illegally cross the Iranian border to reach Gulf countries when they were kidnapped by unidentified men near Buleda valley in Kech District and killed.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) claimed that security forces had killed a terrorist who was involved in Turbat massacre.

Terrorist Younas Taukali, identified as one of top 8 Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) commander, was killed some 20 kilometers west of Bulada and 25 kilometers north of incident site from where 15 dead bodied were recovered.
