Rajgal: One officer martyred as militants from Afghanistan attack Pak Army check post

LAHORE (Dunya News)- An army officer has on Saturday embraced martyrdom in Rajgal valley as terrorists attacked check post of Pakistan Army from border areas of Afghanistan.

22-year-old Lieutenant Arsalan Alam was only brother of three sisters and was deployed at the newly-established border post in Rajgal valley.





As per press release of Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR), miscreants ambushed army’s post bordering Afghanistan that resulted in army’s casualty.

Alam belonged to Sindh Regiment and was born and lived in Rawalpindi.

Rajgal valley has been recently cleared from terrorists under Operation Khyber-IV. During aforementioned military offensive, army cleared 253 square kilometers area and flushed out 52 terrorists. Two soldiers were also martyred and 15 were injured during the operation.

In order to create a more permanent security presence in the volatile area, the Army has also set up 91 check posts in Rajgal valley.
