Three FC soldiers embrace martyrdom in Mohmand Agency near Pak-Afghan border
Troops were busy constructing new border post at Shunkrai when terrorists from Afghan side attacked
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Three soldiers of the Frontiers Corps (FC) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa embraced martyrdom on Friday near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Mohmand Agency when terrorists from across the border opened fire.
The FC troops were busy constructing a new border post at Shunkrai when several terrorists raided the Pakistani side from Afghanistan. They martyred Hav Muneer Khan, Lance Naik Irshad Hussain and Sep Haq Nawaz Khan.

In reply, the protection party retaliated and killed five terrorists to counter the attack. “Fleeing terrorist seen carrying back dead bodies or injured,” ISPR said.
It was stated by the Pak Army media cell that Pakistan is paying the price of inability of Afghanistan forces to maintain law and order situation in their side of the border which has remained ungoverned. ISPR told, “Pakistan paying price of Afghan forces’ capacity lack / ungoverned spaces on Afghan side of the Border.”
Last month, two soldiers embraced martyrdom, including Captain Junaid Hafeez, with four injured in cross-border militant attack on Bajaur Agency checkpost from the Afghan side.
The construction of a border fence had commenced earlier this year at the Durand Line on the directions of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. “Measures to improve security situation along the Pak-Afg border continue,” according to ISPR.
In September, Pak-Afghan border at Torkham had been opened after closure for trade and transport when twin blasts resulted in injuring four security personnel and two Afghan nationals.
