Rain expected in parts of Punjab, KP, FATA and GB

Met Office forecasted rain-thunderstorm in Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Gujranwala and upper FATA

LAHORE (Dunya News) – National Weather Forecasting Centre of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued the latest weather update in which rain has been forecasted in different parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

The overall climate in the country will remain hot asnd humid, but there will be rain and thunderstorm with gusty winds in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Bannu Malakand division, Kohat, upper FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan, according to Met Office.

Rain is expected in several cities of Punjab throughout the next 48 hours. Showers will also occur in Multan and Bahawalpur. The coming days in the aforementioned areas will remain rainy.

It was reported today that heavy rain in Faisalabad caused a roof to fall injuring several persons. Rescue operations are underway to provide medical help. Seven injured were admitted to DHQ hospital.
