PML-N alone to bid for Article 62, 63 repealing: PPP
He asserted that ousted Nawaz Sharif would not benefit off amendments in the constitution
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has cleared it to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday that the political party would not back ousted premier Nawaz’s party’s bid to repeal Article 62 and Article 63.
Bilawal paid a visit to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s mausoleum in connection with 70 years of independence today and talked to the media.
He asserted that ousted Nawaz Sharif would not benefit off amendments in the constitution in this regard and warned the leaders of Punjab that political anarchy is not in the favour of Pakistan.
Statement of PPP chairman has come in a couple of days after PML-N’s former president Nawaz Sharif voiced his support to Senate chairman Raza Rabbani’s statement, who is a PPP member who had called for the chief justice, military and civil and leadership to strike a consensus to strengthen the parliament.
Rabbani s statement had come in context of Nawaz having been disqualified under Article 62 and Article 63.

However, Bilawal has cleared today that PPP would not be supporting PML-N’s possible bid in the parliament to have the articles repealed.
On the other hand, PTI chief Imran Khan announced on Saturday in a Rawalpindi rally that he would resort to street protests putting up resistance in case PML-N formally move to have the constitution amended.
