Bilawal lashes out at govt over changing of BISP's name
The PPP chairman said that the rulers want to abolish 18th amendment
SHIKARPUR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilalwal Bhutto Zardari strongly criticised incumbent federal government over the announcement of change of the name of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
Talking to media in Shikarpur on Sunday, he said that the government is not only conspiring to change the name of support fund but also considering to abolish it.
Bilawal went on to say that today the govt would change the name of the fund, then gradually decrease its funding and eventually end the social safety net programme.
The PPP chairman said: "The government understand that money is being wasted through the BISP, but I consider it the best programme in the country." He said that the BISP was not just empowering women, it was strengthening the economy as well.

The PPP chairman said that the rulers want to abolish 18th amendment and establish one unit in the country which is not good for the country and democracy.
Bilawal said, “The federation has been behaving with Sindh like a step-mother as the funds of Sindh province have been halted which would affect the development project in the province, adding that Indus River System Authority (IRSA) is treating unjustly on the matter of water.”
