Mastung blast: JUI-F withdraws call for shutter-down strike in Quetta
The dead bodies have been sent to the native areas for last rituals.
MASTUNG (Dunya News) – Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) on Saturday has withdrawn call for shutter-down strike to mourn Mastung blast that targeted convoy of deputy-chairman of Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and left 25 dead.
As many as 26 people including Senate deputy chairman also sustained severe injuries in the explosion among which 13 sufferers are admitted in Civil Hospital, nine in Combined Military Hospital (CMH) while four were taken to the Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) Hospital.
On the other hand, the dead bodies have been sent to the native areas where last rituals of majority of the victims were offered.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa strongly condemned the suicide attack and bashed militants, saying such acts of terrorism cannot lower the national resolve.
He also directed best possible medical treatment to the affectees and urged the nation to continue moving on positive trajectory of economic progress, peace and stability.
Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the blast.
The Chairman Senate also termed the explosion deplorable and stated that terrorists cannot deter nation’s determination against militancy through such coward attacks.
