Murad Ali Shah vowed to improve the transportation in Sindh's provincial capital

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Chief Minister has vowed to improve the transportation in Karachi. He chaired an important meeting on Wednesday where it was decided to fund transporters and increases intercity buses.

Murad Ali Shah directed the transport department to initiate the project as soon as possible. However, the residents of Karachi complained that such announcements had been made in past as well but not fulfilled.

Sindh government will provide a 15pc interest-free loan for the project to transporters who will invest 15pc of themselves. Transport Minister of Sindh Nasir Shah revealed that nearly 8,000 new buses were required to improve the transport in Karachi. “600 new intercity buses have been approved,” he told.

Sindh CM said that it was important to improve transport in Karachi and the unavailability of buses had forced residents to board on rooftops.
