PM takes President in confidence over COAS, CJCSC appointments
Nawaz Sharif also briefed President Mamnoon Hussain over his Turkmenistan visit
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has convened a meeting with President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday to take him in confidence over appointment of a new army chief and Chairman of Joint Chiefs Staff Committee (CJCSC).

The premier called on Mamnoon Hussain within half an hour after media reported that Qamar Javed Bajwa was to succeed General Raheel Sharif as the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS).
Reportedly, Nawaz Sharif took the President on confidence over appointment of the new leader of the military and CJCS. The meeting came in after Nawaz Sharif returned from Turkmenistan concluding his two-day visit.
Nawaz Sharif also briefed President Mamnoon Hussain over his visit.
